Jackal rugby involved with Aust Police Women’s rugby camp.

October 5, 2017

The Aus Police Rugby Union has been committed to women’s rugby and setting up contacts throughout our States and Territories.

Over two days, we had a number of meetings to establish a committee for the APRU women’s team and conducted training sessions. We had some of the ladies travel from Victoria, South Australia, Northern Territory, Canberra, Queensland and several from NSW.

When asked about the involvement of Jackal Rugby in this camp, director of rugby, Jayson Joerdens said,

“It was a pleasure to be part of history and invited to participate in the first APRU Women’s camp. The women were enthusiastic and eager to listen and learn, no matter their previous experience. We had players with limited experience, some with years of experience, including a Wallaroo. They all worked hard together and bought into the goal of setting up a team to participate along side the APRU men’s team at the World police rugby championships in Hong Kong 2019.”
