Working with the Tah's - School program

February 10, 2017

After a number of discussions with the Waratahs, Illawarra development officer, Chris Sellers, I can announce the Jackal Rugby Academy will be working with the Waratahs to run their 'Game On' school programs during 2017.

This is mutually beneficial for both as it will gain exposure for the Academy, but also assist in getting the Waratahs brands into as many schools as possible and develop an interest in Rugby Union amongst our youth.

When asked about this opportunity, Jackal Academy, Director of Sport, Jayson Joerdens said,

"Our Illawarra development officer, Chris, has been a supporter of getting the Academy involved in these programs as well as assisting Chris with his own Illawarra program of Youth Rugby 7's for schools. We have similar goals in respect to getting more kids into rugby. The Academy will run the Illawarra rugby sevens program at Campbelltown Showground on a Friday night from the 10th March over five weeks. I'm also excited to be given the opportunity to work on the Tah's school program".
